This last weekend was the most perfect fall weekend. The days were warm, the nights cool, the breeze refreshing, and the company wonderful. This weekend a group of us went up to Mt. Carroll, Il and went through Raven's Grin Haunted House. It was an experience to say the least. It was more a parody of a haunted house than an acutal haunted house, but it was so much fun. I think the fun was just being together. I had my nieces and nephew on Saturday, we played on the farm and carved pumpkins. Then we decorated for the Third Annual Chilipalooza. As the sun set, and the moon decided to show the festivities began. The bon-fire lit up the whole property, and the 20 kinds of chili fed the masses. Kids were playing "ghost in the graveyard" and the adults were soaking up the jello shots and garlic bread and treats. It was wonderful, this last weekend. It could have lasted forever.
